S/Y FIREBIRD

THE TRIP

This is a sailing expedition, so days at sea are part of it, not just the transport to somewhere better. Sea legs help. The Drake and the Southern Ocean crossing take a few days each way.

Once ashore, the ground is properly remote. Trekking up mountains, skiing terrain that's never been skied, working through ice fields, the kind of days that suit someone who'd happily camp on a glacier and isn't bothered by waters largely indifferent to their presence.

We're inviting a small group to register interest before the season firms up. A couple of spots are open. Registering isn't a booking, it's how we build the shortlist.

THE YACHT

S/Y Firebird is an Oyster 885, built in Britain and heavily reinforced for polar work. We've done Antarctica and South Georgia before. This is us going back. Three to four crew aboard, three en suite double cabins, and a highly experienced mountain guide who joins for the days ashore.

Build: Oyster 885, UK
Guests: Up to 7
Cabins: 3 en suite doubles
Crew: 3–4 + guide

IMPORTANT: Registering your interest doesn't reserve a place. We'll contact shortlisted applicants directly to talk through dates, and all the details in the coming days.
